French Open: Serena Williams is not going to be seeded at Roland Garros
Former world primary Serena Williams is not going to be seeded for this 12 months’s French Open.
The 36-year-old made her comeback in March, six months after giving delivery, and her rating has fallen to 453.
She had early defeats at Indian Wells and Miami as she has struggled for type and pulled out of clay-court occasions in Madrid and Rome.
The French Tennis Federation says the 32 ladies’s seeds at Roland Garros will likely be “based mostly on the WTA rating” .
“Consequently, (the seeds) will mirror this week’s world rating,” the organisers added.
Williams has received the French Open, which takes place from 27 Could to 10 June, 3 times.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion’s final look on clay was within the closing at Roland Garros in 2016 when she misplaced to Garbine Muguruza.
